BEST GOLD SHOP · FIT & MEASUREMENTS

Jewellery Size Guide

Measure carefully. Choose by the item’s actual dimensions—not a size label alone.

Before ordering

Home measurements are a starting point, not a guaranteed fit. Ask our team to confirm the selected item’s dimensions and sizing system. Supplier size codes can vary; the old unverified Singapore/HK conversion chart has been replaced with physical measurements.

1. Rings

Measure a ring that already fits

Choose a round ring worn on the same finger and hand. Measure straight across the centre of its inside opening in millimetres, excluding the metal. A jeweller’s ring gauge is preferable to a ruler for final sizing.

Measure your finger

Use a ring sizer on the intended finger. It should pass over the knuckle and sit comfortably. Recheck at different times, avoiding unusually cold or swollen fingers. Wide bands and different inner profiles can fit differently; arrange an in-store fitting if unsure.

Round-ring geometry reference—not a supplier or US size conversion
Inside diameter (mm)	Calculated inside circumference (mm)
14.0	44.0
14.5	45.6
15.0	47.1
15.5	48.7
16.0	50.3
16.5	51.8
17.0	53.4
17.5	55.0
18.0	56.5
18.5	58.1
19.0	59.7
19.5	61.3
20.0	62.8
20.5	64.4
21.0	66.0
21.5	67.5
22.0	69.1
22.5	70.7
23.0	72.3
23.5	73.8
24.0	75.4

Circumference = π × inside diameter. Values rounded to 0.1 mm; rounding is not a manufacturing tolerance. Measure the actual item. This calculation applies only to a circular opening.

Send your measurement and the product link or barcode to our team to confirm the correct product size. Do not treat a label such as “12” as a universal ring size.

2. Bangles

Closed / slip-on bangles

The bangle must pass over your hand, not just fit your wrist. Compare with a closed bangle that already fits: measure its inside opening through the centre. If measuring your hand, bring the thumb towards the little finger and measure around the widest part of the compressed hand. Ask our team to check clearance—do not force a tight bangle.

Hinged / opening bangles

Measure your wrist and confirm the item’s internal dimensions and shape. The opening mechanism changes how it is put on. A closed-bangle hand measurement cannot be used as a universal hinged-bangle size.

Circular bangle dimensions—geometry only, not a fit recommendation
Inside diameter (mm)	Calculated inside circumference (cm)
45	14.14
48	15.08
50	15.71
52	16.34
54	16.96
56	17.59
58	18.22
60	18.85
62	19.48
64	20.11
66	20.73
68	21.36
70	21.99

Circumference = π × diameter ÷ 10. Values rounded to 0.01 cm. These are internal bangle measurements, not wrist-width measurements or supplier size codes. For oval bangles, request both internal width and height; one diameter is insufficient.

3. Bracelets

Measure around the wrist at the intended wearing position using a flexible tape, without pulling it tight. Note the measurement in centimetres.

Our listed bracelet lengths are end-to-end measurements, including the clasp and end ring. The usable closed length can differ depending on the clasp, link thickness and design.

Measurements to check before selecting a bracelet
Measurement	What it tells you
Wrist circumference	Your wrist measurement at the wearing position
Listed end-to-end length	The full bracelet length, including clasp and end ring
Usable closed length	The effective wearing length when fastened
Extension range, if present	The adjustable positions available on that specific item

No single allowance guarantees a comfortable fit for every design. Compare a similar bracelet that fits, and ask our team about the selected item. Check the product listing for an extension chain rather than assuming one is included.

4. Necklaces & Chains

Use a flexible tape or cord to try your preferred length around the neck, then measure the cord against a ruler. Allow for the pendant’s drop and weight. Where a chain sits varies with neck size, body shape and clothing.

Length conversions: 1 inch = 2.54 cm exactly
Length (cm)	Length (inches, rounded)
40	15.75
45	17.72
50	19.69
55	21.65
60	23.62
65	25.59
70	27.56

Conversions are rounded to two decimal places. A chain labelled 18 inches is 45.72 cm, not exactly 45 cm. Confirm the product’s listed length, clasp measurement and extension range.
